It's not bad, just needs a few things straightened.

The guns need better sounds (more meatyness required) and more maps. Otherwise, it plays quite like TF. Which is nice

cod4 is ok but once complete and is boring..sold my cd key for a fiver after about 2 months of playing it, got abit boring.

2142 is not bad to but i like my games to be realistical and believable. im not 1 for futuristic or special powers.

my colection of games is the full battlefield collection(from1942),deltaforce collection(inc bhd), tom clancey etc etc .....

the mods are really good for bf2 aswell......any1 played wookie sniper mod?

Yeah, BF2 is so realistic, the way I can shoot someone a million billion times and they can still run around in circles throwing grenades is totally believable.

it is realistic as in it is based on the realms of war.proper guns proper vehicles no magic or lazers etc

Wookie sniper mod

This has got to be one of the best mods for BF2. The draw distances are maxed,no fog, new weapons (like a .50cal) and all new great sounds are added. Its great fun for anyone, but especially if your a regular sniper on BF2. You can see 2000+m on some maps, and its a ton of fun.


All kits include..

-knife
-secondary weapon (silenced MP5, silenced MP7, silenced G36, or berreta M9)
-sniper rifle (DSR1, M24, L96, TPG1, M95, AS50, or M109)
-2 smoke grenades
-5 flares
-grappling hook
-zipline
-scope zoom 1x 10x 20x

best snipers are M24, L96, and the M109 (in my opinion)

maps
extended boundaries, less vehicles, uncaps only
snow map, complete with snow ghillie suits and weapon skins
points
- more points for greater distances, headshots, running targets
- spotters get points for nearby snipers making rifle kills
- bonus points for the best sniper/spotter

In-game stats.
- kill streak, average kill distance, targeting assists, headshot percentage, accuracy



The further you and your target are apart (300+ meters) there will be bullet drop, so you could only imagine what its like at 1000m.. thats what makes it so much fun

u start off as a private again, u get your ranks alot quicker as u get more points depending on how far the player is, if its a headshot or bodyshot and if they are moving. this doesnt mean u have to start a new account or become a private in bf2 main game, just a new rank system for this mod so your normal account is untouched. your user/nick name is the same that is all.

most think i got for 1 kill was 47 points. lowest was 5

played it for bout 7 hrs today.got 2 pcs hooked up in living room(mines obviously through the 42" and a 22 inch for my mate).

heres a wee cheaky headshot i recorded today, think i hit record at right time(with the wegame recorder i posted about lol)..i couldnt see his head so i had to guess from his name tag and how much lower his head normally sits.


in the vid u can see how high the crosshairs sit as there is a bullet drop, u get a guide on the crosshair plus the shots are in x20 zoom

really? so when did you and lewis last play together...? oh you can't? because you are running it on two different systems, that's a shame... If only there was one system that we all had, that was capable of playing this type of game with an excellent control interface that was the default input method, support high res and 64 players...

I tried activating my BF2 key on EA Download, and it wouldn't allow it - is that what you're talking about? If so then yes, I'd quite like to try it.

Installed the patch last night: BF2 in native res = nice. BF2 no longer requiring disk in drive = nice. When we gonna play?

managed to get BF2 working on my Win7 install by just patching it on my XP partition, then going back to 7, and it just works without being installed! So i never need to install or patch it again!
