BF2s.com is down at the moment. my BF2 name is gingerloki .
Hang on: table time: Most of the people on the board use the same username as their board name. Some have more than one account, shown by the slash.

Gotta have me in there, bitch. =P
Just 'cause I don't play as much BF2 (I get pissed off and stop playing easily, especially when there's no-one worth playing with on. =P) as you doesn't mean I don't deserve listed. *shakesfist*

I've managed to get something to put the BF2 ladder up on the website.
http://guns.snakebomb.com/Battlefield2stats/
Take a look, (constructive) feedback welcomed
It'll become integrated with the rest of the site when I can get up off my arse and get some free time to do it.

That'll mean I'll be third from bottom instead of fourth from bottom!
Seriously, guys, some more of you will have to get BF2. I'm looking really bad here :)

also, and I don't know how customisable your leaderboard is so it might not be possible, but can you add total time played to it?

Sorted.
It's still a validators worst nightmare though.

In fact the only person in the table out of position relative to play time is Doyai. Okaar will probably join him soon, since they are stat padding in the same way.

I need to go back to my sniper rifles, using an auto shotgun has knocked my accuracy to hell. That and the frustration of spotting a guy at 200 metres and being unable to drop him. :(

Well, I'm gonna give you a hint rather than an explanation, because that'll mean I have to do less typing.
We have the entities Doyai and YegaDoyai, and as has been noted, Doyai is ahead of the pack for score/time. Let's make a new entity, and call it 'Peter', because that's who this bam-up is predominantly directed at.
Peter's score = Doyai's score + YegaDoyai's score.
Peter's time played = Doyai's time played + yegaDoyai's time played.
Now we insert 'Peter' into the leader board. Curiously, the entity 'Peter' falls in line with everyone else, unlike Doyai.
Remember kids: Maths! Is! Fun!

Having played with YegaDoyai and Bluepixie last night, I can confirm they don't stat-pad. They're good, and playing in a squad helps too. Having someone to guard your back makes you a much better BF2-er.
It was fun, even though I died horribly at many, many places. I even got 'this' close to knifing someone after my rifle AND pistol ran out of ammo.

I'd prefer you to actually look at the stats if you add my accounts together then you get 2901 from 32.59 hours play. Meaning that even with both accounts added I'm the best (score per minute) player we have. The reason a new account was started was because the new scoring system allows for unlocks earlier. Which in turns means getting a higher score is easier. My Doyai account and Nialls Okaar account should really be looked on in thier own right. As the older accounts were used (along with Exuus and Happydan) under the old scoring method.

I'm confused. You start in an argumentative tone, and then agree with me...
The point is: the Doyai account doesn't have the drag generated by the first 10+ hours of playing crap. That's why it looks inflated compared to everyone else. Of course, the reason I was pointing this out was to enforce my original point - that it's retarded to boast about being high up on the table when you are there purely due to playing the game longer than everyone below you. Amusingly, your stats are real good at pointing this out:
'Peter' : 2901 for 32.59hrs
Exuus : 2954 for 44.82hrs
So, for Exuus, those extra 12 hours (30%) you played got you a whoppin 53 points! Nice going dude!

ya lost me sideshow, i thought you were saying I was stat padding. your argument then went on to say for the number of hours played I have a better score than everyone below me and that the reason for this is that I have played longer.
Whereas my argument was that (from the score per minute ratio) I am still the best player we have, two accounts or not. Yes my cumulative score is greater than yours due to the number of hours played but equally if I had continued with my old account I would still be beating your SPM.
As SPM is the only gauge of how effectively you are playing the game (only statistic that takes account of cumulitive team/commander/combat points and rates them against the the only given in the game (time played) it is the only accurate guide to how well you are playing (IMO). In my first account I had a high SPM and in the my new account I have a higher SPM, mainly due to getting a new unlock earlier.
Proposal 1:
You apologise for saying I stat pad (a method of cheating in BF2 whereby you ARTIFICIALY inflate your score - all my points are accrued in combat on public servers)
We agree that my combined accounts are not as good as my secondary account.
We agree that my second account is only a fair reflection of the new scoring period of BF2.
Proposal 2:
You face the fact that i OWN your ass at this game and will contiue to do so because I got the drop on you and started playing it first.
Finally, Exxus has played 12 hours more than me and has 54 points more than me. Either I only have to get 54 more points in the next 12 hours or I will overtake him and likely stay ahead for roughly equall hours of gameplay. How is this a derision against me?

Chronology of thread:
Exuus boasts about his high position.
I point out it comes from his hours played.
Following on from that, I noticed that the entire leader board was ordered by hours played, apart from your Doyai account.
I point out that it looks good [is padded] because you don't have the learning curve built into it which everyone else does. Since Okaar is the same, I say that too.
DAve misconstrues what I say and writes a defensive post against [what I didn't say]
Since noone seems to get it, I provide all the info you need to work out that starting a secondary account will result in having a higher score/time than a normal player. I show that if you take both your accounts combined then they will fall into the predicted ordering (score and time orders matching) on the leaderboard.
You post the figures that prove this, but argue the point.
I spell out my point, since noone seems to understand it yet. I also point out that Exuus score is actually pretty crap, when compared to yours.
DAve gets irrate.
You get even more confused, and defend yourself from me commenting on your score being way better than Exuus'. Yeah, you confused me with this one too.
Your version of stat padding: Two guys stabbing each other up and healing for the duration of a round, acruing 100 knife kills each.
My definition: Making your score look better than it should be.
In summary: If we wanted to compare your Doyai account against another player, on the basis of score/minute, your stats would be unfairly biased because they don't include the first 10+ hours of learning time the other players would. Ergo: padding.
N.B. It's not padded an awful lot, it just looks like it now. Once you have as many hours as HappyDan the difference due to this bias will me marginal. I didn't say you padded a lot, just that padding existed. Which it does.
N.B.2 Who cares about the scores anyway?

First point:
Confusion was due to indicated slant toward my account and then subsequent attack on what seemed to be me but what was actually aimed at exuus.
Second point:
My original account still holds it own. (SPM of first acc = ~1.3, SPM os 2nd acc = ~1.5 both better than all but okaar and doyai -> yegadoyai + doyai does not bring me inline it puts me - again - squarely ontop) - a point you flatly refuse to accept for some reason.
In summary: If we wanted to compare your Doyai account against another player, on the basis of score/minute, your stats would be unfairly biased because they don't include the first 10+ hours of learning time the other players would. Ergo: padding.
I only care that I am improving not that I'm better. i.e. my current win/loss, k/d and SPM are better than previous account. However my balance of points was better (team/combat) on yegadoyai likewise the accuracy in yegadoyai was better. Therefore to be a better player I need to play the support role as SUPPORT not just a killing machine, and try to use suppresing fire less.
It is also interesting reading in terms of how my profile ranks up next to someone else i.e. pixie. He has a far better k/d ratio and is playing a class more favoured to hanging back and not getting in fights, yet still has more combat points per team point than me. From looking at the stats it is easier (to an extent) to work out where you play well and where to improve. It also helps decide what class you should play and when teams are effective.
N.B. It's not padded an awful lot, it just looks like it now. Once you have as many hours as HappyDan the difference due to this bias will me marginal. I didn't say you padded a lot, just that padding existed. Which it does.
Actually I think you'll find that the distance grows. If you look at the trend on my account it is likely that my SPM will continue to rise (slowly) therefore this bias will grow ever larger. As is the intention. I thought my Yegadoyai account would eclipse dans score in less time than he'd played and I'm sure that Doyai will.
Finally you cannot equate the time played on that account as real hours played as I played the demo more than anyone here and probably play the single player more than everyone put together. So in all fairness, the time played is meaningless, on my account, when you justify it as you have. Somewhat similar to my complaining about the Eldar tactics used against my Ork hoarde, when, at the end of the day you simply played the game better as you'd had more hours under your belt.
Everyone cares about the score, they just don't want to admit it. If we weren't somewhat competitive why would we be fighting (in the game) in the first place?

to get back on track here, I agree with sideshow, team wins are all that counts.
So then, my question now lies at Sideshows feet: why attack one of your 'best' team player buddies when far larger glory hunters exist - Okaar.
The man who takes a tank to take out a sniper while a base is overrun with 2 tanks right next to him and he has a direct order to attack that base AND LEAVE THE FUCKING SNIPER ALONE!
Not that it irked me to die trying to take on 2 tanks with my one tank, thinking I had the backup of his tank, only for him to roll in after I'd died to take out the two tanks that I'd pummeled fruitlessly.
