Haven't put in the AWP or the autosnipers, they could go before/after deagle somewhere. * entries are the core, important ones, if this list is too long keep those. It'd be cool if the AK/M4 entries were the same: once you get to that rating, you choose which one you prefer.

At that lavel, (200+ BluePixie suggests) we can offer a special rank and icon in accordance with the mighty task it took to get to that level of postage. Everyone will see that icon and be immediately envious :)

Guns ranked in general power/usefulness. I said general power/usefulness. I know you can get kills with a scout. Actually looking at it, I think I'd rank the knife higher... I'll leave it where it is :)

And I do think that M4/AK should be the same rank, choosable if attained.

Hmmmm seeing as we are called GUNS, it kinda makes sense.

Would be happy with the new list suggested by Sideshow. It's straight forward and will be a recognisable list to most people. (come on, who hasen't played CS?)

But keep the 200+ mark for the special icon and personalised ranking.

Wouldn't 365 be a better metric? Then 1 post/day for 1 year = Highest rank. Reset the ranks on an annual basis.
Based on that, I've put # of posts needed next to each gun in my previous post.

I would have thought that 200 would be attainable in a short time rather than 365. Shall we go with the sideshow's list of ranks as default and keep the choice of special icon above 200. I don't think that many people will get that far, but those that do should get rewarded. And there's no reason not to tier the special icons. Super special icons for 500+ and 1000+ maybe :)

Yes, you as a Player want to level up quickly, but DAve as the game designer wants to make it hard. Easy games don't get replays.

It's good to have you around, you're enthusiastic about a great many things, but you just pissed me off this week.

I've said this many times before, but internet & forum chat is not like real life, the subtle interpersonal cues we all rely on to tell us when we should back off just aren't there. I've been techy this week, didn't have enough sleep and needed to get a large amount of work done in a short time.

I wouldn't like anyone (including you) to feel unwelcome at the lans or on the forums, because I think a great many people will be about at guns a lot longer than I will.

Don't worry about it, I've been burned through this in the past, and I think I've upset someone this week on the Io forums just because there are little things I didn't pick up on. It happens to us all :)

To be fair, (speaking from the little exposure I've had to this), he seems to be acting a little precious, like the UGC belong to him or he at least rents in on Tusedays or something. In short, I don't think you've done anything rude. You certainly didn't set out to steal the jam out of his doughnut, which is whatthe is acting like.
