When did this button get added to Steam? I now have one place for all my games, Nice.

I've tried adding X3 but Steam won't accept it :(.

really? you didn't just try putting the CD key in, cos this method just calls the windows shortcut and from what I can tell works for everything, I even have office in there now,

I did, and steam still refuses:(.
Doesn't matter too much anyway, although the idea is quite good.

Just to clarify, and make sure you're doing it right:
In the Steam 'My Games' list, click 'Add non Steam game...' (lower left, and also in Games menu).
That should open a window containing all of your installed progams. Tick the ones you want to add, then click 'Add Selected Progams'.
My apologies if that sounds condesending, but I from what I read I wasn't sure if you were doing it that way.
