Starcraft:Broodwar Tournament ^.^?

Hey everyone :) ,

IS people up for the idea for the next lan, I will organise it, and I will not compete in it ^.^. Since i like the idea of my favourite game been play, and might generate some interest :P.


Just like to watch some games, if we get enought people to play in it !!

People like each round to be, best out of 1, or best out of 3 ( may take a while) ??

Could be good, if we get enough players. I think 1 round knockout would work best - should result in a winner quickly, and even if it goes on a long time the people still in it at that point will be the ones most happy to play SC.
I'll play, even if I do know who the final 2 will be :)

One proviso though - if you want to encourage more players, you might scale the game speed. Run the first couple of rounds at fast or maybe faster (unless both players agree otherwise). You think you should enforce Fastest for the final?

(a Standard 4 player map, in my eyes is perfectly, is fun, i am sure alot of you have tried it :) )

(Island map, the build order changes totally, and require a differnt thinking :), But beware, this is hard for zerg to win vs protoss.)

Hey, I'm a bit of a Starcraft n00b, never really got into it but I do like it. How long do you think this comp would take? Would have to fit it onto the Game Timetable, would you just have it on during the RTS time? Only problem with that is that I know there will be a strong support for Dawn of War during the RTS slots and I sucpect that I'd be playing that instead of Startcraft. However, if enough people are interested then we should go for it! The only way you learn is by playing other people......

ok that sounds cool. Feel free to use the RTS section of the timetable so do it. If it spills over, no worries. Man, I'm going to get so humped, haven't played it for ages. :oops:
