Hey peeps,

These are DDR Crucial Ballistix Ram, i brough from bluepixie when he was in charge of pasue gaming, and i lost the box so don't have any details!

The problem is, am trying to install them into my mum's computer but error message keeps poping up. This only happens when i install them both and the computer runs fine when only 1 is install.

So i guess i need to know the details of the ram and set the bios for these to run??? Or could there be compatibility issues?

Here are some info taken from the ram:

Batch: CL11176.JD
PN: 72899
BL6464Z402.16TG2Y
LEAD-FREE

Any help would be great!

Thanks
Ming

What's the error message?

- Make sure the DIMM voltage is set correctly - you want a minimum of 2.8v.
- Are you running at standard 200MHz FSB or the 250MHz FSB that the RAM is rated at?

Try running 200MHz FSB with vDIMM set to 2.8v, then run memtest86+ - http://www.memtest.org/

Loads of the Crucial Ballistix that they sent out were bad / went bad quite quickly (I'm on my 3rd set). It was just a bad batch that didn't get noticed or something, I guess. The good news is that they come with a lifetime warranty and Crucial will replace them within a week. It's some of the best DDR1 RAM you can have - providing you get good sticks.
