View Full Version : Is there somewhere I can go for decent, cheap, printing at Glasgow University?

I need to print my dissertation, which is about 40-50 pages. Some of the diagrams rely on colour so naturally it's essential that those pages are printed in colour.

I see that the library charges 50p for an A4 colour print. This seems overly expensive, and I don't really have £25 to throw away on printing. I know I could just use the library for the colour pages, then use the Computing Department (I get free printing) for the black and white, but then there is the risk of different paper types.

Ultimately, what I want to know is: is there somewhere I can go and print my dissertation such that it's all high quality, the colour is colour, and the paper type is the same throughout? Oh, and charging less than £10 is a must, too.

Also, they need to be able to have it printed within a few hours of getting in, as I'm pretty close to the deadline - lol!

Yes we do have the most expensive printing in the land; we were promised big fancy HP printing beasts, which not only did mixed jobs, but would charge proportionately, depending on how much colour was acutally used, but that was an empty promise it seems.

SRC pricing is much the same; why not print your colour stuff on our colour printer and the rest on our black and white?

I seem to remember that the print shop across from the GU is quite reasonable.

yeah, I got my work printed there too. Do binding as well. Using Kenny's proposal would be by far the cheapest though!

Anyone got a website address or contact details for this printer across from the GU?
