After the latest firefox update, 3.0.8, the cpu usage on my laptop will randomly jump upto 100% with ff running and stay there til i close the program.
It doesnt always happen as soon as ff is opened, usually its been running for a few minutes, but occasionally has done it instantly.
It doesnt seem to be connected with combinations of programs running, it happens if im running afew programs, and when iv only got ff open.
Doesnt seem to be influenced by the number of tabs/specific sites, happens with one or multiple tabs open, even one tab sat at google homepage did it one time.
Full virus scan with avast on max sensitiviy and adaware full scan, found nothing and problem still happens.
Laptop is running vista home premium, and does have issues with afew programs since i put that on,msn, catalyst control centre, steam,... so its entirely possible its just my laptop playing up.
I had a quick look around but couldnt find anything about others having this problem. Anyone else having issues?
Not sure theres much i can do but live with it till the next update and hope it gets fixed.
