Are we still up for a BF2 night after the Christmas holidays?

Same time, same place then. Friday sometime after 7pm, meet up on the Teamspeak server, then decide what games server to run on.

Bluepixie was talking about smaller squads maybe 3 each, so we can be a more focused fighting tool.

In other news, I'm now a lance corporal, so have an unlock to spare. I've been playing a medic lots (they're fun), so was thinking about the medic unlock. I play support as the secondary role, so the unclock for that would be the other option. Any thoughts to which I should go for?

Cheers,
DAve

support unlock as most of the support weapons are rubbish, whereas there is little difference between the medic unlock and the m16 (standard USMC).

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying BF2 still, good stuff. I can't wait to get back to it. It's been soooo long. :)

Personally I would go for the Medic unlock. If you enjoy playing Medic it's the one to go for. Admitedly the M16 is v.nice once you get the hang of it (Yega swears by his M16 for good reason, he can take on snipers) however, the scope on the L85A1 is great (better zoom and recoil than M16) and has 2 points of extra damage per round. It's not so handy in close-quaters though as the recoil unzoomed is higher than the M16. :?

The PKM also rocks and is a total "win win" in terms of unlock. It's better than the SAW in everyway (apart from Rate of fire). It does a hell of a lot more damage (45 per round rather than 25 although the MEC gun does 35), is more accurate and generally will become your weapon of choice when playing Support.

You are in a good position. You enjoy classes that both have great unlocks.

SO, it goes like this. If you enjoy playing,

Medic > Support = L85A1

Support > Medic = PKM
