Pause gaming is taking part in GUGS own Conflagration (http://www.conflagration.org.uk/) this year. Basically our presence at the event will be in the form of one of our Console events that will take place on the Saturday only. Please read the section about pricing below! This event will NOT be free.

Holy shit. Someone designed that page? Intentionally?

I looked at the URL bar, fully expecting to see geocities, or .tk...and then I felt mildly ill.

Why are we demeaning ourselves by association with such blatantly, patently, 100% homosexual, downs syndrome, drooling, windowlicking, cunt avoiding, cock sucking fucknuggets?

Also, fuck Gunder.

Hey, they're the D&D society, not the HTML society.

That's no excuse for that abomination of a website.

Oddly, the html is actually (apart from requiring Frames for no apparent reason) pretty good. The design though...

I particularly like the information page, where you discover that the flames are not a background image, but float above the text. Awesome.

I'd like to mention, that as Pres of GUGS at the moment, I've mentioned that the conflagration website should be improved, but it is in the hands of the conventions convenor. In fairness to him, someone else offered to do the conflagration website, which was taken up by the busy conventions convenor, and that website is the result. It doesnt look like it's had a lot of time spent on it. Contrast with a placeholder I made for the site in 5 mins in March last year: http://www.catfink.ismyforum.co.uk/conflag/ - but still, it tells you some things like the date and time n stuff. I guess. At the end of the day I should have been more insistent on improving it or just redone it myself, but we were both constantly assured it would be updated and improved as time went on. And yeah, with two weeks to go... Never fear, lessons have been learned and Conflagration 2011's website will significantly better.

The gugs website itself .... well, that is kinda my responsibility to update that (no wait - it's the Secretary's - w00t!) :) ... but yeah, kinda mine too. Product of laziness/forgetfulness/busy-with-other-stuffness. I have 3 half finished website designs for gugs, 2 of which are functional CMS things.

Back on topic: The other day of the convention shouldnt be too bad either. Why not try out a few demo games? There'll be blood bowl on one of the days too. :)

Ahh, I wondered if that was you, but I didn't know your last name and couldn't be sure.

I've seen this before and been confused. Gunder, why did you quote his entire post with no alterations or additions?

Gunder
21st January 2010, 19:26
I'm replying to him. I got into the habbit of always quoting who you're directly replying to because I generally post on somethingawful.com and their forums move so fast that if you didn't quote everyone who you were talking to directly then it wouldn't be clear who you were addressing.

I love boys. Especially when they are in fursuits.

I believe this is the correct method.

Exactly, at least that makes sense.

I'm glad you admitted that, To0, my fursona is a deer, and I'll nuzzle your bark anyday...if you know what I mean...

Dear god, what did I just walk in on?

All kinds of hey! The problem with that website is not its design, anyway, it's the people ¬¬ They no do good on t'internets. At least there aren't flames covering our text, only TEARS!

And all unfortuanately I won't be seeing Pause at conflag. Cause of work, I can only go up on the sunday, so I'll be missing out on the video games (weep). Actually, cause of work, I'll forever be missing out on the video games, because you guys only run console things on saturdays, and I only work on saturdays. Rage.

Anything that uses the word "fandom" instantly summons images of tragic, no life, obsessives; it's a poor choice of society name.

I almost feel ashamed to admit that I'm at Glasgow Uni and enjoy Japanese animation in case someone thinks I'm associated with GUMAF. :(

Yeah it's sad when people dont get out there and do some productive things with their free time. Levelling Belf warlocks for instance, you alliance scum.
