Yeah, this is totally late.

But I remember dual shield weilding at a lan. It was really early, so I can't remember which game (CS beta1.6?). It can't be that long ago, it was in colour.

I, for one, don't see why To Kill A Mockingbird shouldn't be banned! It's disgusting, black people in a novel. My kids don't see black people, except for the maid but she's more like a part of the furniture, you know? And that bit with the weirdo in the house that gives them presents? Can you say "paedo?" Disgusting.

And having grown up with 2 brothers, stops you from all playing.

Nancymaker
2nd July 2011, 01:15
So if you play the game and it turns out to be really awesome and then you leave it for a few years and come back to it thinking 'hey, wouldn't it be nice to play through this again?' you'll have to buy it again?

Yeh no. Interesting gameplay mechanic or not (I don't really know how it could be?) that's bullshit. What other game requires that you pay more money if you want to have a second playthrough? I really hope this isn't the case AND that other companies don't decide to follow suit. It's discouraging second hand sales but encouraging piracy, which are both harmful to developers.

The Francis vids are pretty awesome. Real Money Auction House is an excellent idea, however. gotta love Blizzard.

Also gotta love Evo SSF4 clips of Daigo:

Not quite the right setting for it to be as awesome as Evo Moment #37 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS7hkwbKmBM), but this is (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhhQYb9QWyc) definitely on the same level as far as comebacks go.

In Saints Row 2, whenever Take on Me played on the in-car radio, your character would start joyfully singing along to it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nK59n5E_ck4&feature=youtube_gdata_player). It was a big Sopranos reference, a show that included numerous 5 minute segments of Tony Soprano driving alone in his car whilst cheerfully singing along to songs on the radio. In Saints Row the Third, you can select a zombie voice for your character instead of a normal human one. Here is the result (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbcOwjH1m_g&feature=youtube_gdata_player).

How Bioware is putting meaningful narrative into MMOs. (http://youtu.be/USzRXHuH9ZE) For what it's worth, when I played the beta I went through one of their Flashpoints (instances) and it was pretty fucking cool. The whole experience reminded me a great deal of playing KOTOR back in the day. Kinda looking forward to this one.

Really cool article (http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/12/forever-alone-stars-wars-the-old-republic-as-a-single-player-game.ars) from Ars Techinca where someone who has never played an MMO before attempts to play The Old Republic, but as a single-player game. Basically taking Bioware at their word, that SWTOR is KOTOR 3,4,5 etc.
