Kinda, I know some console characters, but got one wrong that I knew and one I was sure I clicked the right box but hadn't for whatever reason. Also 3drealms had thier system for online games for Duke3d before quake was out so that question was wrong. You could find folk online and join thier games. Likewise doom had something similar before Duke. I assume they really mean had a useable interface and it was not completely impossible to find folk to play against like it sometimes was with the Doom/Duke interface - think it was called '10' or something like that.
