View Full Version : Best mobile phone discounts?

quidco.com are great for cashback offers, and moneysupermarket.com is great for price comparison of contracts, but sometimes it's best to check around and see if anyone knows of any uber-offers that are out there...

I was on a friends&family discount with o2 which gave 30% off for instance. This wont carry on if I go to another carrier, however moving to another carrier will probably still be cheaper since o2 like to charge out the ass at the moment for some reason.

Anyone know anyone who works for t-mobile? They seem to be doing the best offers at the moment in terms of internets, and I imagine their staff / f&f discount offers are similarly awesome.

I was considering either HTC Desire HD or the Nokia N8.

So anyway, if you have some knowledge to impart, please post :)

I have heard many a sad tale about the N8. It is the little phone that couldn't.

For a long time now 3 have offered the best internet options but thier recent promotions bring them inline with everyone else. As a referrer I could get us both money off however...

I'm with T-Mobile.

I think I pay £5 a month for "unlimited" internet access (which actually means 1GB/month, after which you won't be able to download any files/watch any video between 1pm and 11pm until your next billing period). 150 texts and 300 minutes (I think).

I pretty much only use it for internet access, and the price if I go over minutes/texts is fairly reasonable.

I take it that's with a sim only contract? even so, for £5 a month that's pretty good.

I'm on a 30% O2 tariff for my iPhone and from what I can see, it'll be pretty hard to beat when it comes to upgrade time in February.

I'm paying around £30/month for 1200 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited data (18 month contract).

Everywhere seems to be doing 24 month contracts now - which I'm not up for.

Aye, sim only. Already had a decent phone prior to getting the contract luckily.

Currently paying £25 a month for the Desire on 3 which isn't great but better than most places. 500mins, 5000 text, 1GB. Would keep a look out for price drops as HTC have two new phones releasing before the end of the year.

HD7 is out already. Which others? I really wouldnt have hesitated if they'd ever have had the sexeh HTC EVO come out over here (obv some of the features are OTT for this country).

Misread you original post, sorry - "Desire HD". Fundamental forum goer fail. Didn't realise the HD and Z we're out already either. Seems I've learned more from this thread you unfortunately!
