Check this out:

Also note:

It appears that due to the university providing hosting they are able to host several games simultaneously. I shall test, again, tonight or tomorrow to see if we can host a decent game of something. Hoever with the restrictions of our up load rate I rather suspect that we will be limited (each packet for an average game is about 2kb/s per client, we have 70kb/s available. You can do the math)

Can someone see if Glasgow is looking into ar has something like Tardis.

Re: We must improve.
It seems they are running about as many people at the smaller lans they have every year as we had last weekend.

I still say we should have a serious attempt at running a massive lan over the holidays between the three glasgow clubs. We've got time to organise it, we just need the will (and some people).

Definitely. If we get the 3 local universities together that would get us 100 people straight away. If we were to let university folk 'sign-in' non-university people to the LAN we could easily get another 100 on top of that.

Here's a photo of one of three floors at the i-series LAN me and g0r were at in November - just to get your imaginations going.

It's a long shot, but if we were ever able to get in excess of 200 people at a LAN, we would easily be able to get prizes/merchandise provided by a few of the major computer component companies.

Crucial for example (http://www.crucial.com/ballistix/content.asp?key=lanparty)

Good call on the Crucial site Sid, I didn't know that was open to non US residents.

Grub - If you feed them, they will come.

Free food always works for me.
