As per title.
Wanted to try and see if it made my interbots better. It can't be worse than my O2 wireless box II.
I just thought I have 2 old cable modems after changing to adsl and that maybe someone on here had gone the other way? They are fairly common.
Anyone?
EDIT: Obviously, only if it's spare / lying around :D

That's the exact model I just replaced. It's good as long as you don't get one that overheats all the time, but a lot of them do. I'll not be buying another. See attached pic for what I did to it to try get it to stop dying every few days. If you want it make an offer, I'm sure I've sold it enough :)
Currently using a Linksys WRT54G with Tomato firmware and a TP-Link TD-8616 adsl modem. Connection has been solid since I switched the Netgear out for the TD-Link (have the Netgear set in bridge mode). Tomato is ace - all the stuff you want from DDWRT but with a nice interface. Router+modem was £50+£10 = £60

If you have access to an XP machine and can be arsed flashing it, you can have my old Sky DG834GT. Flashing isn't too difficult. I love the router myself - always used a variant of it since I bought one as my first router.

sounds good. I have an xp machine here somewheres :)
I loved its linksys competitor the WAG54G... except my power supply eventually died (which resulted in me finally getting a replacement o2 box (O2 wireless box 2) almost two years after the old o2 box (O2 wireless box 1) broke forcing me to dig out my old linksys which had always consistently been awesomer... )
If I was going to buy a new router modem, the combo sideshow mentioned above wouldnt be a bad choice - but I like recycling / hoarding older crap. :P

Cool I'll dig it out of the cupboard. We can sort out collection over MSN/Steam.
