Music and Soundtracks

Playing video games is cool and all, I guess... But what games have you played that just have some of the best soundtracks you've ever heard?

I don't know if it's just me that is some sort of freak and only listens to VG OSTs, but since video game music is becoming a recognised art form separate from story, gameplay, art, etc. what are your favourite soundtracks?

My personal favourites:

Spyro the Dragon (hey, don't judge me, that is a fucking awesome OST).
Shadow of the Colossus
Katamari Damacy
Final Fantasy XIII oddly, some of it was pretty okay.
Portal 2

(Excluded the long list of Koji Kondo/Nobuo Uematsu games, surely those are implicit?)

nobuo uematsu is too good. the silent hill soundtracks are really nice. although the trailer for the most recent one has a korn song... plus akira yamaoka isn't doing it so uh, not expecting much from the new soundtrack, or game for that matter. anything blizzard does always has fuckin top notch music too.

Also I love Set Set Radio's soundtrack to death. The Wind Waker and LittleBigPlanet both had music that made me play the game just to hear them.
Also Katamari Damacy is glorious in every way. I still need to download that soundtrack.

I love LOVE some of WoW's music (probably mostly due to nostalgia though lol).

Frozen Synapse was a bit of a god when it came to music. Additionals: Deus Ex, Advance Wars (good god every single game is actually just an ear sex simulator), various random FF titles.

Nancy - you're my only LBP sympathiser! I freaking love the soundtracks to both, the Victoria's Lab music in LBP2 is so intense! Also I can give you all the Katamari soundtracks on Friday if you want, as long as you sit and sing it with me and Viper!

My Patch was always my favourite song cause it was in the first video for LBP that I saw.

While clearly the above is unparalleled, I'l third Bastion and throw in Rez, Super Meat Boy, like every Zelda, Prince of Persia 2008 and Super Mario Galaxy.

As far as licensed soundtracks go, Skate 2 is bloody solid.
