Hi guys!

On Saturday the 15th of October we are going to host a Console LAN. We hope to host it in the Williams Room of the John McIntyre Building, as we did for the SRC Demo LAN, from around 2pm-8pm.

I am using the thread mainly to ask who can bring along consoles, games, tvs and so on. The more we get for the day, the bigger and better our LAN can be! If you have anything you could lend, just post here and/or pm myself or another member of the committee.

If you are gonna bring a console if you could bring a TV too that would be super awesome. We don't really have any spare.

Cool!

Shaun

I have a Wii/2 remotes (1 nunchuck), and I think SSBB/MKW (I might have pawned one of them off to fund my nicotine addiction), assuming the Nintendium hasn't crumbled to dust after 2 years of it being in its sad little box. I lack a screen to donate though :(.

Edit: I am morally offended by consoles.

I can bring 2 screens (one of which has speakers), a 360 and a Wii if need be. Only decent multiplayer I have for Wii is SSBB, but I can dig out some old GC games.

For Xbox I have Gears of Manshoot 1-3 and Manshoot: Reach. A big Halo game might be fun if we have sufficient screens.

You should have another sort of tournament (fighting game, or something a bit less competitive/broken) but maybe have some sort of incentive to participate this time?

Like, if you win over all, then you get something small/cool/get to live when Knifa absorbs us all into his anus to feast etc.

I've a 24" monitor + speakers, PS3 (no real multiplayer games beyond LBP2 though), a multitude of 360s and pads etc, and can rustle up some 360 games with my flatmates' permission.

no real multiplayer games beyond LBP2 though

THAT'S OKAY AS LBP2 IS THE BEST GAME ಠ_ಠ.

Or, I'm really lame and the only multiplayer games I've played on PS3 are LBP/Lego-everything. Know what? Lame, and not challenging (Lego isn't, LBP2 not so much, LBP is kind of about half way through) sure, but they're still pretty fun games and I will come and I will bitch (until Knifa flips me and Tarquin flaps at me) that they are not played.

As usual I can bring my softmodded wii, with a cavalcade of classic games and oddities such as Pac Man Vs. for a fun time for those who prefer to play something a bit more old-school.

Yus, finally. A TV is a thing I have. Will only bring it if people promise to lose to me at SFIV but make it look like they're not meaning to lose to me.

Sadly I can't come :(

Alas, I am not able to bring my TV, but, I can bring games, and controllers, for Wii, PS3, and 360. Also the consoles themselves, although without a TV that's kinda not really a thing.

More importantly, I am free to give lifts with equipment/people, so if anyone needs a ride, gimme a shout!

off-topic, but is there a schedule for the PC lans over the next few months?

more on-topic, is there a schedule for upcoming console lans over the next few months? :)

Just wanted to be able to plan my work rota accordingly but can only optimise it if I have a months advance notice (I have to work some weekends).

It's every other week, basically, alternating between console and PC LAN.

Umm, not quite sure how appropriate this is but I have a media centre PC in a NES...? I want to help but both my Xboxes are at home. :P

I might pop in at some point to wreck some fools at street fighter (read: get wrecked).

Wait, this was last weekend? I was so sure it was next Saturday. Complete fail.
