Hi folks,

So I'm studying at the University of Glasgow for the semester (from Amherst in Massachusetts) and figured I'd find some like-minded people (read: more people to hang out with than just flatmates). Was wondering when the first meeting/event/thingy is - I want to say the 10th of February, from the main website?

Anyway, as far as games - the computer I brought over is pretty crappy (didn't want to risk my laptop, little heavy too) so it can't do tons, particularly graphics-intensive games (though low settings might work). That said - I have Skyrim (though I really didn't get very far before finals hit when it came out, and again computer may not be able to handle it), and otherwise am working off TF2 perhaps and LoL, though I haven't played either in a while so am sorta rusty. Primarily I play MUDs (yes, those text-based games that were popular before computers and the internet got better) - have played one for almost five years now (coming up on the five-year anniversary in a couple weeks) and a couple MUDs prior to that. But I'm happy to play whatever really.

Anyway, name's Jacob, hope to meet some of you whenever the first meeting is.

Hello! Welcome and all that gubbins.

The first LAN is indeed on the 10th :D Would be awesome to see you come along (and at the pub meet the week after!). We don't play that many particularly intensive games so your laptop should be okay~

Hey, welcome to Glasgow Uni! There's a thread for the upcoming LAN on the forum, on which most of the information and discussion will be posted. You should keep an eye on that thread for any new developments or information.

Thread is here (http://pausegaming.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3306).

Hi, I'm Shaun ^_^.

Skyrim in quite kind to old laptops, cos it loos good on min settings. Also, of it burns up your laptop, you can use the underside to dry water spills!

Hope to see you at the next LAN!
