Game have it for £20 in store (Buchanan St Galleries). £16 on the web.

Compare that to £30 for steam = win.

edit: there's another 6 gig. I /really/ need another HDD.

EDIT2: now £20 in steam. yay.

Holy crap, that's good fun.

I think I was maniacally laughing a little too hard when Jo turned round and gave me a funny look.

In my defence, chainsaws are pretty cool.

Interesting indeed. Not sure about the friendly fire thing though...was that really such an issue?

True adherents to the name of the game regard Friendly Fire as a necessity, not an accident.

Actually, I was thinking about this friendly fire change, and I can't get my head around why they've decided to do it. See, part of the reason (I suspect) that the original bullet penetration counted as friendly fire was to stop you and another player sitting either side of a doorway and firing full auto into a crowd of infected as they ran through. If you tried that, bullet penetration would kick your ass.

Also, it meant that you had to be careful when trying to clear out the infected from around a friend who was being swarmed, such as when they've got boomer bile on them, especially when using on of the high powered rifles. I assume that now you don't have to worry about that.
