well i went for the 1.6 for several reasons, yes the 1.8 or 2.0 would have more troque etc but then i would be in a higher class and up agains more powerfull cars and in such classes people tend to spend more monney on there vehicles im sure uv seen the £20k mk2 escorts on ebay, don't wana be up agains one of those where are the smaller engine classes seem to be more clubmans baces vehicles

yes i could have went for a diffrent engine and diffrent suspention setups, but as i said i want to keep in lower standard classes, there is a huge cost involved in rebuilding suspention systems let alone the cost a brakeages and repaires, and as for the engine the zetec was relitivly simple to put in, : new engine mounts and re do the electrics , i know fords well when it comes to meclanics and electrics, so it was the best option for me and at the end of the day i recon that wat counts ,

well to be honest i know subau's very well and would have much rather build a STI rally car but at the end of the day it all comes down to cost :P

and yes i have done all the work my self, but with a helping hand at times: kinda hard to put a cage or engine in by ur self :P

If you want to get started in proper rallying, Pugs can be a good place to start. They is a 205 rally around Britain and Scotland aswell as rallies in Norway/Sweden.

My cousin currently rallies 1.9 GTi's and was 1st in the 1.6 205's last year - theres normally about 10-15 other 205's to pace yourself against aswell as the Impreza's and Lancer's.

yeah pugs are good little cars ispecialy on tighter stages where biggers cars have little room to manover, thing is the GTI's are becoming more dificult to find now, but at the end of the day it all comes down to how well the car is prepaired and how good the driver is, E.g. saw a little nova at the blackpool stages a few weeks god and fuck me this thing was fast as fuck the guy must have been shit hot

Hmm i think you have mistaken ..

ON a honda i suggested, the double wishbone set up comes as standard ... + when u r going for the engine change BOLT TO BOLT SWAP + keep the same wiring loom, hence less work then u have done but a better handling car + more power

to be honestly, engine ain't hard to put in, as long as is bolt to bolt, regardless of what type of engine it is .... (don't really know where u r coming from ) and lol, you still mapping your car ??

As for rebuidling suspension ? Suspension involes alot of things, what bit r u planning to rebuild that will causes the big bill ? and to be honest if u do the job yourself , the cost will stay down.

As for doing the job yourself, well done mate and respect.

Me personally, i love the look of the little fiat,no the one in the pic, just a standard one . And with all respect to your "ford fiesta", don't really hold any respect for it :P, as nick name "Fix or repair daily" or " Fast only rolling Downhill" That wee Fiat 500 is a cracker, loving it :P!! Well i don't rally my car like fly2fly or something :P, i use it just for uni, for the cheap petrol purpose, but i do like to keep the mechically sound rather just concentrating on useless stuff like body kits, crazy ass seats with harsness (Wtf, why do u need them for road use) , that's just not needed when u r not racing ro rallying , but when u rallying, Savety = First pirority

Incase u'll come back, yes i know Fiat = "fucking insutling automobile techonology "

Well Saab= "Sad attempt at beaty " :P
